esports

The first 16 Xbox players have qualified to compete in the Grand Final of the eWorld Cup, which will take place from Aug. 2 through Aug. 4 in London.

The tournament, which determines the console players who will take part in the eWorld Cup, usually involves 32 players from each console, i.e Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The players compete against each other for the ultimate bragging rights.

The final leg qualifiers were held in Amsterdam from May 28 through June 3. For a chance to be among the top 32 players, 128 players go head to head in the EA Sports FIFA 18. The players who excel in the Global Series Playoff then get to continue on to the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final 2018.

Tournament process background

  • The first step to qualifying for the Grand Final is to take part in a series of live and online events, such as the FIFA 18 eClub World Cup, FUT Champions Cup, Official League Partner Qualifying Competitions, and Licensed Qualifying Competitions.
