Next April 23rd Montecarlo’s population will have to decide whether they accept the opening of a casino or not. Six computers will be placed at a downtown school, where all voters from different neighborhoods will attend. The system will be similar to that of cash points, with both options available displayed: Yes or No.
There are 13,000 people allowed to vote already, but those who do not appear as registered may go to the Council and ask to be included. Information about voting conditions and the new technique to be implemented will be given though the media beforehand, and on site by Council representatives.
This ultimate voting technology will be provided by Magic Sofward, with a cost of $5,000 dollars for the Mayoralty. This means quite a low cost if compared to the traditional voting system. All the same, the referendum will also be monitored by Election Court members.
